Neurodivergent Caregiver Social Groups

This fall, a group of likeminded facilitators have come together with Julia Ryan Psychology to provide an opportunity to expand your social circle in a space where you can truly be yourself. Our community-building groups bring together neurodivergent people and those who care for or support them — youth, adults, parents, and caregivers — to connect, share, and grow. When embarking on the parenting journey, we are often told it "it takes a village to raise a child". As a neurodivergent caregiver, a village of people who understand and relate can be challenging to find. This group is a way to begin building that village, where we can create connections, share experiences, learn from one another, and feel seen, heard and supported. This group will help self-identified or formally diagnosed neurodivergent caregivers:

  • Build their community of neurodivergent caregivers who share similar and relatable experiences

  • Access a safe, non-judgmental space to learn what it means to be move through daily life as their authentic self

  • Explore the dynamic differences of mixed neurotype families

  • Share tricks, tips, and realistic strategies to manage personal wellbeing and parenting

  • Decompress and step away from societal expectations in a group of people “who get it”
